A note from the Promoter

A note from the Promoter

We are finishing up a great season at the OffRoad Speedway with the Bob Haase Memorial this Saturday. The traditional features of the Bob Haase Memorial are the SLMR and quarter toss for the kids and this year will be no different. I will be adding another one that some may find interesting.
But first, Janet Haase has told me they are planning $1000 worth of quarters to be given to the kids at intermission. Now that's a lot of coins.
Next is the Super Late Models are coming back to OffRoad Speedway, Aug 28th. With only several races to go on the SLMR schedule, there are only 2 points separating 1st and 2nd. With the addition of local Late Model drivers this will be a barn burner and you will not want to miss it.
I have gotten some interest in some wanting to practice on Friday, so we will open up the track from 7pm to 9pm for those interested. It will be $20 per car and $5 dollar pit pass. Grandstand will be free for fans and concessions will be provided with Scott's Smoke Shack providing a limited menu.
Now, with the additional twist I was alluding to earlier. After the quarter toss at intermission, we will bring a dunk tank out on the front stretch. For 3 balls for $5, I will be sitting in the tank for anyone wanting to take a shot at me to raise money for Furbaby Rescue. At the beginning of this season, a German Shepherd was caught at the OffRoad Speedway by Furbaby Rescue. This dog was eventually adopted and everything turned out great.
Hope to see every Saturday night at the OffRoad Speedway, Jerry
