The Gunderson Racing Inc. Midwest Sprint Touring Series is set to embark on an exciting 2023 season, which will open May 13 at the Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Nebraska. The four-state schedule will take drivers, teams and fans on an adventure that will wrap up with the series championship in September.
Following the opening trip to Nebraska, the series will complete May’s racing at the Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota.
Teams will take to Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa on June 9 and venture to Hartford, South Dakota’s I-90 Speedway the following night. MSTS 360 competition then returns to Park Jefferson Speedway near Jefferson, South Dakota on Monday June, 12 – which will be the first 360 sprint event at the track since it was reshaped last fall.
Jackson, I-90 and Rapid Speedway all highlight the July portion of the schedule.
After taking a break for the Knoxville Nationals, competition returns on Aug. 15 with a trip to Denison, Iowa and the Crawford County Speedway. Crawford County was last on the MSTS calendar in 2016 when Jack Dover was victorious. The following night will be a return trip to the always popular Off Road Speedway.
A double-header at Huset’s Speedway kicks off the month of September with MSTS action as part of the Folken’s Bros. Trucking Bull Haulers Brawl. The tour will then go south into Nebraska with a show with details to be announced before visiting Eagle Raceway for the first time in series history. Is it there in Eagle where the champion will be crowned.
The points championship payout is shaping up to be on the of the best in MSTS history, while popular contingency sponsors remain in place, including bonuses for hard charger and hard luck each night.
