A Note from the Promoter
The 2023 race season is here. Thanks to all that came out to practice last Sunday. It really helps us in preparing for the real thing.
Speaking of the real thing…the Dirt Crown 2023 Stock Car Crown Summer Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Racing, will start their West Division points Championships at the OffRoad Speedway this Saturday night (April 8th). $2000 to win and $200 to start. One of our bigger race nights of the year in 2022, so you will not want to miss this one!
The IMCA Hobby Stocks will also be running April 8th. This will be a $500 to win and $100 to start, purse. $30 entry fee plus pit pass.
Of note is the Points that will be awarded on April 8th. The Stock Cars will get State and National Points. The Hobby Stocks will be awarded Local, State and National points.
To take advantage of the better temps during the day, our start time will be-Hot Laps at 5:00pm with racing to follow. The OffRoad Speedway will be doing the earlier start time throughout the month of April.
April 15th will be the 2023 OffRoad Speedway regular season opener with Late Models, Stock Cars, Sport Mods and Hobby Stocks.
As the season progresses, I will have more on the schedule. The one thing I want to mention now is the World of Outlaws Late Model special on June 25th. This will be huge race for the City of Norfolk and Northeast Nebraska. Along with this race is a huge purse. To offset the costs, we are doing a Split the Pot raffle. It is $20 a ticket and the prize has the potential to be quite large. Tickets are available and will be, at the track, every race night until June 25th.
Tickets for the June 25th World of Outlaws can be purchased online by going to our website. Under the schedule tab, there is an icon to purchase tickets. General Admission is $30 for adults and kids are $15. These tickets are sold online, as is the XR Series race tickets in July. Season passes are not good for any “online ticket sales” race.
Weather is looking good for this Saturday, so see you there. Jerry
